April 3rd - Clinic Closed for Good Friday

Happy spring! We are so grateful for the warmer temperatures. As we see the beauty of spring unfolding around us, I am reminded of the new life given to us in Christ (as I also sneeze uncontrollably).

Easter is the season in which we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord. However, when patients walk through the doors of Good Sam Cobb, we often realize they are walking “through the valley of the shadow of death” due to chronic health problems and/or severe economic struggles. This gives us the opportunity to talk with many about the love of Christ. As our patients discover the truth of God's love, many of them begin to gain a sense of hope. In this regard, we specifically praise God for the miracle of an 82 year old patient who recently gave her life to Christ. She has experienced an amazing transformation even at this later season in her life!

Over the last year, we have watched as God has generously provided for our new expansion project, even as costs have increased significantly. This can only be attributed to His faithfulness and the generosity of so many of our supporters. We are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve thousands more patients each year upon the completion of this project. We are actively searching for new funding partners to join this effort and are encouraging our enduring partners to continue standing with us.

In this regard, we are also launching a new Good Neighbors monthly giving program, which will give many of our regular donors an easier way to automate their support of our mission. If interested in this program, additional information can be found at goodsamcobb.org/donate.

Thanks so much for your love and support. We are extremely grateful for your generosity.

Sincerely,

Cyrl A. Kitchens
